Preserving the Memory: Interactive D-Day Exhibit in Woodstock

Woodstock, VA (Massanutten Military Academy) - At Massanutten Military Academy, we are always finding ways to give our cadets a deeper connection with all of their subjects. That effort took a group of cadets away from campus on October 9th, and over to the John O. Marsh National Guard Armory.

Cadets were immersed by sight, sound and relics from the past as part of the travelling D-Day interactive exhibit. It's part of a larger effort to honor the sacrifices made on June 6th, 1944, and to preserve the memory of all those who served in World War II. They were able to see vehicles and weapons from the war, hear from historians and veterans about the assault on Omaha Beach, as well as get insight into what life was like in the U.S. during the war.

The trip was set up by MMA's Academic Team. Our faulty and staff are always looking for opportunities like this trip that will help our cadets increase morale and confidence while developing academically. If you'd like to learn about our individualized roadmap to success for your teen, contact our Admissions Office at 540-459-2167 Option 1 or visit their webpage. MMA is still accepting new students for the 2024-2025 school year!

We believe students should experience school as it should be, a place where children are educated in an environment that leads them to thrive and encourages their maximum potential.
