Changing Seasons; Changing Sports

Woodstock, VA (Massanutten Military Academy) - While fall is finally stretching across the Shenandoah Valley, at Massanutten Military Academy, we're already focusing on the future for sports. Next week, our cadets will join their teams for the winter competition season. They can select boy's or girl's basketball, rifle, swim team or weightlifting.

Before closing the chapter on fall sports, we want to highlight some of the successes we saw this season:
  • Our volleyball team hit a hot streak to close out the season, including a victory over Stuart Hall School on the road. They also took down Randolph-Macon Academy earlier this month while on their turf, and swept Wakefield County Day School in three straight sets at home.
  • Our soccer team rallied together to take down Timber Ridge School twice this season. In the first match, they kicked it into overdrive in overtime and scored a huge win. The cadets followed that up with a 3-2 victory just a few weeks later.
  • Our football team battled in every match, including in front of our Homecoming crowd in our Purple Out game. In their very last game of the season against Quantico High School, they kept fighting all day to keep victory within reach.
Cadets give it their all in every match, showcasing their determination, teamwork and skill, and we're excited to see what this new sports season holds for them.

You know your child can do more but is not getting the attention needed in their current environment to reach their full potential. We know that choosing the right school for your child can be difficult because each child is so unique. We believe students should experience school as it should be, a place where children are educated in an environment that leads them to thrive and encourages their maximum potential.
