Putting Our Motto Into Action at MMA Service Day

Massanutten hosted the inaugural "MMA Service Day" on Saturday, July 27th. As part of the Academy's ongoing 125th Anniversary Celebration, the event combined hard work to beautify the campus and some fun with a cookout and pool party! The service day was open to cadets, parents, alumni, and the local community. Thank you to the MMA family for committing their time and efforts to beautifying the campus in preparation for the 2024-2025 Academic Year.

The Academy's motto is "Non Nobis Solum"- Not For Ourselves Alone. Our faculty, staff, alumni, and cadets put the motto into action all throughout the year.  Cadets are provided opportunities throughout the academic year to give back not only on campus but in the local community. 

Last years' service projects included:
  • Stocking shelves at the local food bank 
  • Working the town's "Woofstock" event with our 4-legged friends
  • Covering stations at the Woodstock Halloween Downtown Festival 
  • Bell ringing with the Salvation Army
  • Assisting in the West Shenandoah Ruritan Club booth at the Shenandoah County Fair
  • Honoring veterans at the Shenandoah County Fair
