PG Basketball Team Chases National Championship
West Hartford, CT (Massanutten Military Academy) - Winter sports may be over for the season at Massanutten Military Academy, but our postgraduate basketball team is just hitting the hottest part of their season. The Colonels are on the road in West Hartford, CT the week of March 10th, competing in the National Prep Championship.
The action kicks off Tuesday, as Massanutten faces off against Darrow School at 5:15 p.m. in Game 6. A livestream is available through CBG Live Network. The winner will face the winner of Game 8 on Wednesday, March 12th at 4 p.m. The winner of that game is in action again on Thursday, March 13th at 1 p.m. The battle for the championship is that same night, with the two finalist playing in the National Championship Game at 7 p.m.
Massanutten is proud to be ranked as one of the top 10 prep schools for basketball in the country. Our current team is made up of kids from Rhode Island, North Carolina, California, Texas, Virginia, Canada, Greece and Congo. Our players also are continuing our legacy of excellence in their recruitments. 3 of them are 3-star recruits, with one in the top 150 nationally. Our PG program has created more than 80 college athletes, with 4 going on to play at the NBA.
