  • Help Save Lives in the Woodstock Community

Help support Massanutten Military Academy's lifesaving effort! Sign up to donate during our community blood drive with the American Red Cross. Appointments are available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on February 25th, 2025 in the Memorial Gymnasium.

Every unit we donate at our blood drive can help save up to three lives. Blood is routinely transfused to patients with cancer and other diseases, premature babies, organ transplant recipients and trauma victims, according to the Red Cross. Our impact even goes beyond that patient – it is multiplied by the impact it has on that person’s loved ones who are thankful for the unit we donated.

Donors who give between January 27th and February 28th may also qualify for a $15 e-gift card through the Red Cross.

  • How do I schedule an appointment?

  • Where is the blood drive?

The blood drive is in the Memorial Gymnasium on Massanutten Military Academy's campus. That is the building between the football field and the main campus.

Massanutten's address is 614 South Main Street, Woodstock VA 22664. Click here for directions.
  • Why should I donate?

Blood is a perishable product that can only come from volunteer blood donors. With someone in the U.S. needing blood every two seconds, blood products must be constantly replenished, according to the Red Cross.

Remember that every blood donation has a story attached to it. The story of why we donated; each volunteer’s story of why they helped; the story of why we hosted the blood drives and the recipient’s story when they receive a generous donation. Consider making your personal story part of the collective stories.
  • What type of blood is needed?

Donors of all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative, B negative and A negative. According to the Red Cross, type O negative is the universal blood type that can be safely transfused to anyone, and is often used to treat trauma patients.
You know your child can do more but is not getting the attention needed in their current environment to reach their full potential. We know that choosing the right school for your child can be difficult because each child is so unique. We believe students should experience school as it should be, a place where children are educated in an environment that leads them to thrive and encourages their maximum potential.
